Thoughtful software starts with understanding the problem.

AI-first team lead and tech lead. I joined ShiftCare in 2018 as an early engineer and helped grow it from a Sydney startup into an NDIS and aged care software powerhouse, now serving providers in the UK, the US and Canada. I build AI-assisted workflows that keep delivery well-scoped and verified.

Outside work, I make room for books, getting outside, and a change of perspective. This journal holds a little of both worlds.

Keep scope clear, split work at useful boundaries, and give the next person enough context to decide.

Use agents with explicit ownership and checks. Distinguish what was tested from what remains uncertain.

  • Direct and build much of the product roadmap end to end, from technical planning and architecture to code review and release.
  • Helped take the platform from Australia to the UK, US and Canada, adapting it for each new market.
  • Own delivery across web, mobile, payments, and APIs, splitting large work into independently verifiable changes.
  • Lead the shift to AI-first engineering, bringing agents into planning, building, review, and CI with clear ownership and verification.
